a good read for the old penang

i googled for some story of penang shared by others today after some talk and my mom's long story of how penang was like . It is definitely osem to have a place that can call how penang was like. doent really necessarily to imitate penang old heritage architecture design, but rather a simple cultural place (simple architecture) that could gather back all those nostalgic scene of penang, all those activities that we can no more see happening on street the lifestyle of how it was like back then.

new idea or new inspiration?
i'm making some study on innovative building material for my woven architecture facade. so just some case study might help.

I READ A BOOK

hi!
today i read a book that i hope could help in to generate more idea!OH PLEASE!!
and i cam a cross a paper folding book called SUPER SURFACES (generating forms for architecture ,products and fashion) written by sophia Vyzoviti(i guess shes from German?) <-- another book from PAGEONE(which is in our school library!).This has made me googled alot about kirigami and paper folding design.here are the book and some samples of paper folding!

HOW SHOULD I START? my architecture thesis

yes.this is no data. its a question. A HUGE BIG FAT question. where do I start?

I am in my final year of my architecture study.As in any other architecture school,its final year, its THESIS.
 Yes.a DESIGN THESIS. The reason why architecture students could either be bald at the end OR if you are lucky and rich with hair, you might get the natural heavy fractal Corkscrew Curls hair style for FREE!
I wish Google could give me an answer so i googled for GOOD ARCHITECTURE THESIS TOPIC.
Funny outcome.Some are forums of a good list(which is okey,but you'll need to figure out the issue by your own),some tries to advide(pretty okey) and some sites try to make profit by selling them to you!?oh WOW!

FAMILIARITY- I'm just coming up with things around me. So say, my own home town?( i guess i should be even though i might not know every single inch yet)lol


ok.now its a stop(to my writing for now).What i am going to do is go on ground(to my home town), have a walk in my home town(as a community my self) and ask around and observe of what we are really craving for and is in need of to look for a BOLD ISSUE to have them as my topic.
